Home of the Famous "BrownKnees" 
Through Dasie Hope Center's Kidz Cafe, an in-house program to feed all of the center's children during after-school and summer programming, the children learn how to prepare and serve meals, nutrition basics and the importance of a clean kitchen environment. At one point, the children asked to have deserts with the meals. Thus, the famous Dasie Bakers were born! One of the Center's volunteers brought in a wonderful brownie recipe, which the Bakers took and added some secret ingredients, slightly changing the recipe to come up with the now ever popular "BrownKnees". The Bakers are younger girls who appreciate and learn basic baking techniques as older girls manage and prepare baked goods for sale at local events. The Dasie Bakers have catered several events at the Center as well as private events and special orders.
